Almost every bird spike is made to sit on a flat surface. Put a rigid strip on a curve and it touches at each end, lifts in the middle, and comes away within a season. Curved areas are not harder to protect — they are just done differently, and the difference is worth understanding before you order.

Curved surfaces turn up more often than people expect: arched window heads, rounded balcony fronts, circular column capitals, curved canopies and awnings, bull-nosed copings, domes, and the rounded top rail of a railing.
Birds treat them exactly like flat ledges as long as there is enough level footing at the top. What changes is how you fix anything to them.
Two points of contact and a gap in the middle
A spike strip has a stiff base. Laid on a convex curve it rests on its two ends with the centre lifted clear; laid on a concave one it rests on its centre with both ends lifted. Either way, most of the base is not touching the surface at all.
Adhesive needs contact. Where there is a gap, there is no bond, and the first heavy rain or hot afternoon lifts the strip. This is why "the spikes fell off" is a complaint that comes almost entirely from curved installations.

That single measurement is the most useful thing you can send us about a curved surface, and it takes longer to read this than to do.
A curve cannot be followed by one long strip, but it can be approximated by several short ones — each sitting flat across a small part of the arc, like the straight sides of a many-sided shape drawn inside a circle.
Ask whether the strip can be cut cleanly
On a curved job this matters more than pin height, base width or anything else in a product description. A strip that can be cut into short segments on site can follow almost any curve. One that cannot, cannot.
Worth checking before you spend anything. A bird needs a reasonably level footing. On a surface that is both curved and steep, there may be no level footing at the top at all — and birds simply will not use it.
The test is the droppings. If a curved surface is genuinely fouled, it is being used and it needs protecting. If the droppings are on the flat ledge beside the curve and not on the curve itself, protect the ledge and leave the curve alone. People routinely pay to spike a steep dome that no bird was ever standing on, while the flat ring at its base — where they actually sit — stays open.

The usual answer. A narrow base needs less contact area to bond, which makes it more forgiving on a curve than a wide one, and short segments handle the rest.
