Industrial bird control is rarely chosen. It gets started by an audit finding, a contamination incident or a safety observation, and it then has to be specified, quantified and raised as a purchase order. This page is written for that sequence.

At industrial scale there are hundreds of perchable surfaces in a roof structure, and protecting them one at a time is not a plan. The approach that works is exclusion in two layers.
The lights-off survey
Before specifying anything, stand inside in daytime with the lights off. Every gap in the building envelope shows as a line of daylight. Five minutes, no equipment, and it is the most useful survey available — netting a roof void while a ventilator stands open achieves very little.
You almost never need the full footprint
Netting only the bays over racking, packing and the production line addresses the contamination and the audit finding at a fraction of the cost of the whole building. This is the largest single saving on an industrial job and it is rarely offered.
These are the questions that come back on an industrial enquiry, and having the answers ready shortens the cycle considerably.

Close the envelope first — ventilators, eaves gaps, louvres, damaged sheets. Then net horizontally below the truss line over the areas that carry product or people. Doing the second without the first rarely works.

Yes, but nothing drilled or welded without structural approval. Adhesive or mechanical clamp only, and galvanised or painted steel needs proper surface preparation first.
Normally in phases, bay by bay, with the floor below cordoned. It is worth planning around stock movement rather than working over live racking.
Not while there are eggs or chicks — most wild birds in India are protected under the Wildlife Protection Act, 1972. Schedule the access for after they fledge and install immediately, while the structure is empty.
