Stop pigeons, crows and mynahs roosting on your ledges, balconies and rooftops. SpikeZone manufactures humane, rust-proof bird spikes in Delhi and ships them across India — direct from the factory, cut to the length you need.
At a Glance
A bird spike is a narrow base strip with a row of thin, blunt-tipped pins standing up from it. Fixed along a ledge, railing or parapet, it removes the flat landing area a bird needs to settle. The bird approaches, finds nowhere stable to put its feet, and goes elsewhere.
That is the whole mechanism. There is no shock, no poison, no trap and no noise. The pins are deliberately blunt — they are there to make a surface awkward, not to injure anything. This is why bird spikes are accepted on heritage buildings, hospitals and residential societies where more aggressive methods are not.
Spikes work best against roosting and nesting — birds settling in one spot repeatedly. They are a physical deterrent for specific surfaces, not an area-wide repellent.
The one thing that decides success
Coverage. Birds will find any gap you leave. A ledge spiked for four feet out of five simply moves the problem to the unspiked foot. Measure the full run, and count corners.
Anywhere birds land repeatedly on a narrow, flat surface. The most common installations we supply for:
SS-304 stainless steel for exposed and coastal locations, galvanised steel for general use, and powder-coated mild steel where the duty is heavy.
Built for Indian conditions — direct summer sun, monsoon rain and coastal humidity. Our polycarbonate is UV-treated so it does not yellow or turn brittle.
The base bends along curved railings, arched parapets and uneven ledges instead of bridging across them and leaving a gap underneath.
Strips cut with an ordinary hacksaw between pins, so you can finish a run exactly at a corner rather than leaving the last few inches open.
Silicone adhesive on clean concrete, tile or glass; screws on older or flaking surfaces. No specialist tools and no drilling on rented balconies.
Once fitted, there is nothing to power, refill or reset. An occasional rinse to clear leaves and nesting material is all it needs.
We manufacture four families. The right one is decided by the surface width and how exposed the location is — not by the bird.
SS-304 pins on a flexible base. The default choice for open rooftops, parapets and anywhere near the coast, because it will not rust or streak the wall below. Our 2 ft strip is the most-ordered product we make.
Crystal-clear and effectively invisible once fitted, so the balcony view and the building elevation are unchanged. UV-treated against yellowing. Preferred on glass balconies, window sills and anywhere appearance matters.
One row of pins on a narrow base. Correct for surfaces up to roughly four inches — window sills, railing tops, pillar capitals and mouldings.
Two or more rows side by side for wider ledges. Our Bird Spike 2R covers ledges up to about eight inches. Beyond that, run additional rows in parallel — a single row on a wide ledge just lets birds land behind it.

Almost every customer fits these themselves. A standard balcony railing takes under an hour.
Give it two to three weeks
Birds that have nested in a spot for years will keep testing it for a while before giving up. That is normal and does not mean the installation has failed. Do not remove the spikes early.
SpikeZone is the manufacturing arm of S.K Enterprises, making bird control products in Delhi since 2015. You buy at factory rates, not reseller margins.
DMRC, PowerGrid, Berger and GAIL use our spikes, alongside hundreds of housing societies across India.
Send measurements or a photo and we will tell you exactly which product and how many strips — before you order, at no cost.
Societies, builders and industrial buyers get quoted rates against the total running length rather than list price.
We ship across India, with free shipping on orders above ₹999 and despatch direct from the factory.
If spikes are the wrong product for your surface, we will say so and point you at netting instead. It saves everyone a return.
Spikes are the right answer for a defined perching surface. They are the wrong answer for an open volume, like a shaft or an atrium.
| Method | Best for | Limitations |
|---|---|---|
| Bird spikes | Ledges, railings, parapets, sills, AC units — any narrow surface birds land on | Does not close an opening; needs full coverage to work |
| Anti bird net | Sealing whole openings — balconies, shafts, truss bays | Visible; must be tensioned properly or it fails |
| Reflective deterrents | Short-term scaring in open areas | Birds habituate within weeks |
| Sound and ultrasonic devices | Temporary deterrence over open ground | Birds habituate; power needed; disturbs residents |
| Gels and pastes | Small surfaces | Degrade in sun, collect dust, mark the surface |
Not sure which fits? Compare the whole range in our bird control guide, or read about anti bird nets if you need to close an opening rather than protect a ledge.
They remove the flat footing a bird needs to land and settle. The pins are spaced so the bird cannot stand comfortably, so it chooses another spot. It is a physical deterrent, not a repellent.
Yes. The tips are blunt and the spikes do not trap, shock or poison anything. Birds simply move on. This is why they are used on heritage buildings and hospitals.
On any narrow flat surface birds land on — ledges, chajjas, balcony railings, parapets, window sills, AC outdoor units, signboards, girders and the edges of solar arrays.
SS-304 stainless strips typically last well over a decade outdoors without rusting. UV-treated polycarbonate lasts several years in direct sun before it needs replacing.
Yes, and it is our most common application. Use adhesive rather than screws on a rented or finished balcony so nothing is drilled — and treat the sill above the railing at the same time, or the birds just move up.
Very little. Rinse off leaves and any nesting material occasionally and check the adhesive at the ends of each run once a year.
Yes. Birds nest in the gap under the array, so spikes are fitted along the edge to block access underneath rather than on the panel face. Panel output is unaffected.
Our products are designed for DIY fitting and ship with a step-by-step guide in Hindi and English. For large sites, contact us with the total running length and we will advise on the fitting method.
Strips start at ₹179 and the most-ordered SS-304 2 ft strip is ₹249. Costing a job means multiplying the running length by the strip price, plus adhesive. Send us the measurements and we will work it out for you.
Tell us the surface and the running length — a photo with something for scale answers both at once — and we will tell you exactly what you need and what it costs. No charge, no obligation.
