Bird Control Spikes in Delhi

Delhi is where we manufacture. The works are at Mitraon in south-west Delhi, which makes this the one city where you can buy direct from the factory floor, collect the same week, and ask to see the material before you commit to a quantity.

What Delhi Does to an Installation

Delhi is one of the harshest cities in India for anything fixed to the outside of a building. It is not the heat on its own — it is the range, and the dust.

ConditionWhat it attacksWhat to do about it
45°C+ summers, near-freezing winter nights The material itself, and every fixing. Repeated expansion and contraction works marginal fixings loose over seasons. UV-stabilised polycarbonate; mechanical fixing on exposed edges
Intense ultraviolet Unstabilised plastic. Yellowing, then brittleness, then snapping at the pin roots. Check UV stabilisation before you buy, whoever you buy from
Airborne dust and grime Adhesion. The base bonds to the deposit, and the deposit lets go of the wall. Clean and dry properly before fitting — the step most often skipped here
Dust storms before monsoon Anything not yet fully cured. A fixing set the day before a storm is a fixing at risk. Fit in the dry weeks, not the transition
Short, heavy monsoon Adhesive beds and anything that traps water against masonry. Fit before the rains rather than during them

Our material answers the first two directly: UV-stabilised polycarbonate with no metal in it to rust in the dust. The third one is on whoever fits it, and it is worth insisting on — on a Delhi parapet, cleaning is not preparation, it is most of the job.

The Buildings Here, and What They Need

No other Indian city has this range of building types inside one municipal boundary, and each of them fails in its own way.

Feeding Is a Bigger Factor in Delhi Than Most Cities

Worth checking before you spend anything

Delhi has a long tradition of feeding pigeons — at markets, near temples and gurudwaras, and in society common areas. It is well meant, and it concentrates very large numbers of birds in one place.

If there is a regular feeding point within a short distance of your building, the population pressure on your parapets and balconies will stay high whatever you fit. The hardware still works — a protected ledge stays protected — but any surface you leave untreated will be found immediately.

Two practical consequences. Treat the whole elevation rather than one flat. And if the feeding is happening in your own society, that is a committee conversation worth having alongside the work rather than after it. The bird care section covers how to feed birds without producing this outcome.

Which Product

Bird Spikes

Narrow surfaces — sills, railings, gate pillars, cable trays, decorative bands.

Pigeon Spikes

Wide runs — parapets, roof edges, deep cornices, girder flanges.

Anti Bird Net

Balconies, shafts, warehouse roof voids and any opening that has to be closed.

Monkey spikes are also supplied, though monkey pressure in Delhi is localised — mostly around the Ridge, government colonies and areas bordering green belts — rather than city-wide.

Frequently Asked Questions

Where exactly are you in Delhi?

The works are at Mitraon, New Delhi 110043, in the south-west of the city. Delhi customers can collect directly or take local delivery.

Why do bird spikes fail so quickly in Delhi?

Ultraviolet and heat. At 45°C and above, unstabilised plastic yellows, turns brittle and snaps at the pin roots — sometimes within two summers on a south-facing edge. UV stabilisation is the single thing to check before buying anything here.

My spikes came loose after a year.

Usually a preparation problem rather than a product one. Delhi surfaces carry a heavy grime film, and an adhesive fixing bonds to that film instead of to the wall. Clean and dry properly, and use mechanical fixing on exposed edges.

Do you supply to societies for the whole building?

Yes, and in Delhi that is usually the right approach — pigeon pressure is high enough that treating one flat simply moves the birds to the next one.

People feed pigeons near our building. Will spikes still work?

On the surfaces you protect, yes. But nearby feeding keeps the population high, so anything left untreated gets found straight away. Treat the whole elevation, and raise the feeding separately if it is happening inside your own society.

Can I buy just a small quantity?

Yes. Two AC units or a single gate pillar is a completely normal order, and being local you can simply collect it.

Do you supply the industrial areas?

Yes — Bawana, Narela, Okhla, Mayapuri and Patparganj are regular project work: trusses, girders, cable trays and warehouse netting.

Do you offer dealer terms in Delhi?

Yes, for hardware shops, pest control firms and contractors across Delhi and NCR.

Send the measurement and a photograph and we will price it. Being local, you can also just come to the works and look at the material first — on a product where the difference between good and bad is UV stabilisation you cannot see in a photograph, that is worth the trip.
